2021 BMW X2 Review
When the 2021 BMW X2 appears like a chopped-roof variant of the X1 SUV, it’s because it’s –but this tiny crossover dials at a little more aggressive driving dynamics.
The engine is the exact same 228-hp turbocharged four-cylinder from the X1, but the X2’s marginally flatter handling makes it fun to wield to a twisty road. Unlike the X1, BMW gives the X2 using a 302-hp four-pot, which turns into a fire-breathing functioning machine.
The X2’s racier bodywork and quicker roofline do include a few compromises; however: Interior space is more restricted here for both freight and people.

The boxier X1 is more affordable, more functional, and just as entertaining to drive as both of these X2 versions.
The X2 M35i’s 302-hp turbocharged lookup engine makes this tiny SUV more particular than the X1. It turns out this crossover into a focused performance machine. It is the installation we would recommend.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance
As mentioned before, the X2 stocks its own typical powertrain using all the boxier X1. BMW calls this version the sDrive28i; the xDrive28i is your $2000-more all-wheel-drive edition.
Quicker yet is that the Mercedes-Benz GLA250, that was able to hit 60 in 5.8 minutes.
BMW tuned the high-performance M35i version’s motor to pump out 302 horsepower, which version blasted to 60 miles in only 4.6 seconds within our palms. The X2 has a brutal ride, particularly with the sport suspension.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
The X2 does not boast the maximum fuel-economy ratings in its own section, but it is still a lot efficient.
In our testing, even however, the X2 outdid itself, using a 36-mpg effect within our 200-mile street fuel-economy route. We managed just 29 mpg from the all-wheel-drive X1 along with the XC40 T5.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Though the X2’s interior layout is not as notable as its exterior, the cottage is well outfitted and well constructed.
Rear-seat headroom is tight, but passenger comfort ought to be acceptable for many people.
